If so, come and join our supportive and dynamic educational team as a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant. As a Teaching Assistant, you will primarily support students in Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), helping them to achieve their full potential.Role and Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Work alongside teacher to ensure an appropriate environment for learning.
  • Provide individual support to students identified as requiring additional learning assistance.
  • Encourage engagement during lessons.
  • Assist with record-keeping related to student performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Monitoring and reporting on students’ progress, adapting support strategies as needed.

Requirements for a Primary Teaching Assistant:

  • Degree in any field; education-related degrees preferred.
  • Previous experience working with primary children is appreciated.
  • Effective communication skills and enthusiasm for educational success.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
