Then SCIEX may be an opportunity for you!The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading a development team to meet defined goals within a structured project management environment.This position is part of the Research and Development Department and will be located in Concord, Ontario as a HYBRID role.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the planning, controlling and coordination of a release train to deliver and meet defined goals using Scaled Agile development practices.
  • Facilitate planning activities with key achievements, supervise progress against plans, and resolve appropriate corrective action.
  • Lead Scrum of Scrum type activities to collaborate, communicate, and deliver on commitments. This includes driving ownership and accountability to the team.
  • Resolve project needs by way of collaborating across a variety of organizational functions and teams, such as: Software, Firmware, Hardware, Service and Research.
  • Produce and deliver project-related communication such as status reports, visual management and progress metrics. Lead and measure the team’s performance of project tasks.
  • Participate in defining and rolling out Project Management standard methodologies and tools and evangelizing continuous improvement.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or related field
  • Prefer 7+ years demonstrated engineering sector experience as a software engineering professional and\or project manager; experience with both Agile and Waterfall software development environments is required
  • Experience managing system development\integration projects with multi‐disciplinary teams encompassing embedded hardware, firmware and control\processing software
  • Preferred: PMP, ACP, and/or SCRUM Master certification
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, SharePoint or other equivalent resource management and tracking tools

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Platform\Enterprise software development
  • Concurrent project execution in a shared code base
  • Life sciences background
