From delivering forward-thinking training to the UK Armed Forces, to working in partnership with Tier 1 defence and security providers on some of the most significant defence programmes of recent years, the CDS DS name has become synonymous with trust, quality, collaboration, and truly visionary approach to the most complex of problems.About the roleThis Senior Support Engineer role holder is responsible for Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), production of the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) and to make recommendations to enhance the supportability of our clients’ products. An LSA Engineer will also have good time management and be able to prioritise time sensitive tasks and work within a set time frame. There is a requirement for a strong level of experience in EAGLE software, and able to navigate and work in EAGLE independently with minimal supervision. Experience of working with vehicles within the land domain is preferred but not essential.Responsibilities
You will become the primary focal point for the following:
- Produce LSAR data sets by means of thorough product research and structured Analysis (LSA) in accordance with specified standards.
- Identify maintenance requirements, procedures and all associated support resources necessary for sustainment of product in-service.
- Populate LSAR using appropriate software packages ensuring compliance with necessary protocols and standards.
- Understand customer requirements and end-user’s maintenance concept in accordance with customer provided specifications / statement of work. –
- Work with Reliability and Maintainability Engineers to produce an all-inclusive LSAR database. – Liaise with Technical Publications to provide clarification and validation of core data transferred from the LSAR
- Perform LSA / LSAR reviews.
- Demonstrable experience in the field of LSA / LSAR, coupled with the use of associated computer database system/s are essential requirements for this role.

- Analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand equipment breakdown structures.
- Knowledge of LSA specifications, namely DEF-STAN-0060, Mil-Std-1388-2B or GEIA-STD-0007
- Hold a Security Clearance (SC) and be willing to hold (Developed Vetting) DV if required.
- A sound fundamental knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Excellent problem solving and investigative skills.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Office, SAP and specialist LSAR software (EAGLE).
