If so, let’s start the conversation.The RoleIron Mountain is seeking a Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team in Slough. The right candidate will play a key role within our data centre, performing regular maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to ensure reliability for our customers.The technician provides technical and facility support in a 24×7 data center environment, including maintenance and oversight of electrical, HVAC, civil and building management systems. IMDC is looking for self-motivated team members who have a strong sense of urgency, and dedication to your team, our customers and IMDC’s vision.This is a full-time position, and requires working a continental shift pattern.Although experience within a data centre would be advantageous, candidates with critical facilities or electrical maintenance experience from other sectors, such as healthcare, warehousing, aviation, telecommunications, estates, petrochemical, pharmaceutical etc would also be considered.Responsibilities:Take ownership of IMDC’s critical power, cooling/environmental, security & support systems and facilities to meet or exceed uptime service levels.Proactively support the safety of the environment & occupants and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.Perform limited maintenance tasks to ensure smooth operation of the data center heating and cooling systems and overall facility.Permit and monitor contract vendors.Monitor, resolve and update all assigned service tickets using IMDC’s ticketing system. Including trouble tickets and customer installations of electrical and physical equipment.Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment and inspect buildings, grounds, and all equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning operation.Escort and periodically check vendors while performing maintenance to ensure that the rules and operating procedures are followed.Assist in arranging access and creating work authorisations and changes for internal works or for vendors.greater than Remove if not requiredProactively identify issues and take the needed steps to resolve.
