Primary Purpose
Provide leadership and direction for Student Information Systems (SIS), district application management, data integration, and support for PEIMS and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application services. Provide training for District personnel and ensure data compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
Qualifications
Education/Certification/Licensure
Bachelor’s degree in a leadership, business, education, or information technology-related field from an accredited college or university
Special Knowledge/Skills
Extensive knowledge of TEA data standards and policies concerning PEIMS reporting. Comprehensive understanding of K-12 student administrative management systems. Demonstrated knowledge of State and Federal Accountability, Grants, PBMAS, DVM, and OCR.
Knowledge of system and application development, automation, and integration
Comprehensive knowledge of management information processes, procedures, practices, equipment and software
Expertise in creating and implementing data structure, quality initiatives and improvement plans
Skill managing and integrating data on various enterprise database management systems and cloud-based application
Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal and telephone etiquette skills Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records and develop internal audit/verification processes
Ability to meet established deadlines
Ability to process information logically, develop flowcharts, and create documentation
Experience
Five or more years of experience in school district IMS activities, school district leadership, or Information Management Leadership
Three or more years managing Student Information Systems and ERP (Skyward SIS and EFinance preferred)
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate across departments to identify, implement, and maintain systems and data that support student learning throughout the district.
- Oversee applications, and custom applications.
- Ensure that district-wide applications provide reporting capabilities so that business owners and stakeholders can monitor and manage data quality.
- Coordinate and implement a technology change control and communication plan to inform district technology users of system outages, system upgrades, application training and other technology-related information.
- Focus on leader development regarding hiring processes, providing performance feedback, and handling personnel challenges.
- Coordinate training for end users as needed/required for the use of the student information system and/or its integration with other district-supported programs.
- Consult with technology leadership in addressing specific requirements, capacity planning, backup strategies, integration, maintenance, and security related to information systems.
- Work with the technology project management team to effectively bring new systems online and coordinate with other initiatives.

- Ensure IMS staff identify and resolve user needs in a documentable, timely and orderly
