Job description
We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join an award-winning and expanding Academic & Professional books division. The successful candidate will be working in a pivotal role, leading the global marketing strategy for the Open Access books programme, as well as for the prestigious Middle East, African Studies and Asia Studies lists, including renowned imprints.
- Create and manage effective marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing initiatives with company objectives.
- Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to guide promotional activities.
- Manage the marketing budget and track return on investment.
- Oversee the creation of promotional material and marketing campaigns.
- Conduct competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Coordinate with external agencies for marketing events.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make necessary adjustments.

- Experience in an open access marketing role (books or journals), with knowledge of the scholarly publishing landscape
- Experience of strategic campaign planning
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident, accurate and assertive communication skills, both written and verbal

- Data-literate, with experience of making data-driven decisions
- Self-motivated and used to taking initiative
- Able to influence and persuade
