Job description

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join an award-winning and expanding Academic & Professional books division. The successful candidate will be working in a pivotal role, leading the global marketing strategy for the Open Access books programme, as well as for the prestigious Middle East, African Studies and Asia Studies lists, including renowned imprints.

  • Create and manage effective marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing initiatives with company objectives.
  • Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to guide promotional activities.
  • Manage the marketing budget and track return on investment.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional material and marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for marketing events.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make necessary adjustments.

  • Experience in an open access marketing role (books or journals), with knowledge of the scholarly publishing landscape
  • Experience of strategic campaign planning
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Data-literate, with experience of making data-driven decisions
  • Self-motivated and used to taking initiative
  • Able to influence and persuade
