UNICEF GSSC is seeking an enthusiastic and talented candidate to support the HR Administration Section as Human Resources Associate in Budapest, Hungary. You will have the opportunity to support UNICEF staff members worldwide by performing a wide range of activities related to onboarding and staff reassignment.

Key functions, accountabilities and related duties/tasks:
· Process more complex requests or transactions in different systems, ensuring that they are in accordance with the internal rules and regulations, processes and procedures.
· Alert managers of complex issues and recommend solutions.
· Process other actions and updates in systems, and support maintaining quality HR, staff, and personnel data
· Answering various queries including complex situations, applying best business practice and great sense of client orientation
· Proactively reaching out to client offices and staff members to ensure that communication and expectations are clear.
· Analyze and review processes and procedures and contribute to the development and revision of the respective documents, including Standard Operating Procedures, process instructions and other documents, participate in other related projects.
· Review, and update training materials and/or internal tools and documents to facilitate GSSC HR Administration’s work.
· Support new HR Assistants of HR Administration by training them on various processes, systems, rules, and regulations.
· Identify areas for continuous improvement and partner on projects / initiatives for building efficiencies at the GSSC and enhancing client experience.

Minimum requirements:
- Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft Suite of Products (including MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPoint) is required.
- Internal applicants (holders of fixed term or continuing contracts) from GSSC are required to complete the GSSC Learning Path corresponding to their current level before applying for another position. Additionally, they must attach to their application a screenshot from Agora, clearly demonstrating completion of the learning path. - Education: Completion of secondary education (high school diploma) is a minimum requirement.
- Work Experience: At least 6 years of relevant work experience in human resources or related field is required for the position.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
Desirables:
- Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
- Previous hands-on experience in planning, organizing and delivering administrative support services is highly desirable.
- University level courses in human resources and business administration are desirable.
- Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of UN/UNICEF’S rules, regulations and procedures is considered an asset.
- Work experience with a development organization is an asset.
