$15.00/hour, part-time

Program hours: Monday-Friday 2:00pm-6pm

JOB SUMMARY

The Boys & Girls Club of Utah County provides afterschool and summer programs to kids ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade throughout Utah County. Programs run Monday-Friday from afterschool to 5:45 pm during the school year. Must be 21 years of age or older.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

Plans, implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, such as: Education, Fine Arts, STEM, and Physical Education. May be responsible for implementing prevention education in alignment with grant requirements.

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

Prepare engaging, fun lessons and activities in specific program area(s)

Prepare Youth for Success

Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes Promote and stimulate program participation

Provide guidance and role modeling to members

Ensure members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s)

Demonstrate leadership to assure conduct, safety, and development of members Program Development and Implementation

Effectively implement and administer programs, services, and activities for all members Monitor and evaluate program services and activities

Active Supervision of Youth

Oversee member safety, program quality, and appearance of the organization at all times Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly organization staff meetings Contribute to a positive work culture

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in special programs and/or events

Plan and coordinate program clubs

Participate in weekly staff meetings

Attend additional training outside of regular work hours

Driving transport vans as needed for off-site activities.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

High School diploma or GED.

Experience in working with children.

Knowledge of youth development.

Motivate youth and manage member behavior.

Ability to work with the school community and general public.

Plan and implement quality programs for youth.

Organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

CPR and First Aid Certifications may be required.

Valid State Driver’s License

Must be 21 or older
