Overview
BerryDunn is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Consulting Team, which focuses on providing services to hospitals, health systems, nursing homes, senior living, and other healthcare organizations. Key services BerryDunn provides strategic planning, vendor selection, project management, change management, process improvement, and software optimization. The role will work with clients on enterprise software projects – examples include electronic health record (EHR), enterprise resource planning (ERP), or human resource information systems (HRIS). This role will also work on strategy projects with client such as strategic planning, strategic technology planning, process improvement, or objective assessments. The individual in this role will report into senior leaders on the Consulting Team, and the individual may work onsite in one of our regional offices, remotely anywhere in the U.S, or in a hybrid manner.
Travel Expectations: In-person presence at a client sites is needed. Up to 50% travel to client sites is possible for future projects.
You Will
Bring healthcare consulting experience and/or advisory background to perform the following:
- Support BerryDunn services for clients in the healthcare sector, primarily offering information technology (IT) and management consulting services, with a focus on EHR systems.
- Facilitate meetings with client leadership teams, departments, and project teams.
- Present information to leadership teams in a professional, persuasive, and engaging manner.
- Lead and support client projects on time and within budget, including assigning and managing staff and creating work products.
- Develop written client deliverables, reports, and presentations. Present findings and recommendations to client leaders.
- Work with providers, nurses, and clinicians on EHR initiatives and healthcare technology projects.
- Engage with senior leadership at healthcare organizations bringing about organizational change.
- Work with clinical, financial, operational, and IT departments at healthcare organizations on projects.
- Facilitate meetings and interviews with client stakeholders to determine and document user requirements for business processes.
- Provides expertise in, but not limited to, EHR technology, clinical workflow design, testing, training, go live support.
- Navigate and document decision making processes on behalf of our clients within established governance structures.
- Provide continuous process improvement and change management.
- Support and assist in the expansion of BerryDunn services and sales opportunities with prospective clients including but not limited to networking, designing scopes of work and budgets, and meeting with prospective clients, all in a team-based approach to business development.
You Have
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Technology, Business, or Healthcare.
- Minimum 6 years of experience leading enterprise-wide healthcare IT systems projects or implementations.
- Experience working for a consulting firm or technology vendor in an advisory / consulting role
- Experience effectively communicating with executive leadership teams within healthcare organizations and meeting with stakeholders to formulate, review, and execute task plans and deliverable items.
- Knowledge of health IT, including EHR, ERP, or HRIS system selection and implementation experience.
- Knowledge of EHR vendor solutions required.
- Experience with implementation efforts including the process of data collection, workflow design, testing, training, go live planning, command center, at-the-elbow support, and post go live optimization.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills to lead teams effectively
- Ability to navigate and lead through situations of uncertainty, imperfect information, and complex organizational dynamics.
- Adaptable to work on a range of tasks. For example, leading an executive leadership team meeting to developing a status recap message
- Strong understanding of operations/workflows in a healthcare setting.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Experience in business development and sales a plus.
- PMP preferred, not required.
- Experience in behavioral healthcare a plus
Compensation Details
The base salary range targeted for this role is $95,000 – $125,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
