Information Security Manager

Clearance:

Must have current active Secret Clearance. TS/SCI Clearance highly desirable, existing DHS Suitability is desired.

Raytheon Technologies is seeking an experienced Information Security Manager to join an exciting new opportunity. The Information Security Manager will assist with technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments, establish goals and plans that meet project objectives. This role will assist in direction and control activities, having overall responsibility for security management, methods, and staffing to ensure that technical requirements are met and will interact with clients and senior management. This role supports decision making and domain knowledge that may have a critical impact on overall project implementation. The selected candidate has exceptional domain and expert technical knowledge.

Skills:

The Information Security Manager will provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement the lab’s information security, provide support for facilitating and helping the lab identify its current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to lab systems. The Information Security Manager will also assist the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements and is responsible for the implementation and development of the customer IT security. This role gathers and organizes technical information about the lab’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs and performs risk analyses which also includes risk assessment. This role provides support to plan, coordinate, and implement the lab’s information security, provides support for facilitating and helping the lab identify its current security infrastructure and define future programs, design and implementation of security related to lab systems and possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments which are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. This role plans and leads major technology assignments and evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Finally, this role functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

The Information Security Manager requires proficiency and proven capability in the below areas:

Knowledge of Computer Network Defense (CND) policies, procedures, and regulations

Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles and network security architecture

Knowledge of boundary protection and enclaving

Knowledge of authentication and access management technologies

Knowledge of several of the following areas is required: Understanding of business security practices and procedures; current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current lab infrastructure technology

Ability to serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Ability to apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments

Education & Experience Required:

7+ year’s information security management experience with a High school diploma; or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline, and with 5+ years of information security management experience
