Description

The Senior Consultant plays a key role on the project team; either by running small projects, Integrating and leading portions of a large project, or being a team member on a project. She/he drives the analysis and process finalization and resolves process and technical issues. The Senior Consultant performs the role of a Team Leader and ensures the team delivers high quality service and high customer satisfaction. As a Team Leader, the Senior Consultant will be involved in preparing the detailed level plan for his/her functional/technical area. The Senior Consultant will also assist in business development activities by providing proposal inputs.

In a Team Lead role, the Senior Consultant will ensure that the project tasks continue to address the needs of the customer and fit within the overall scope of the project, and are completed on time and within the budget. When issues surface that could change the scope of the project, the Senior Consultant should report to the Project Manager and discuss the impact of these changes with the customer. He/She is also expected to invest time in the professional development of other consultants through coaching and mentoring.

Essential Functions

1) Engage with the customer by:

  • Leading customer engagement/conversations in business language and identifying the customer requirements
  • Analysing customer business processes and SAP solution design. Moving logically and creatively from facts to conclusions
  • Leading process design workshops, configuration/development and assisting customers in testing cycles
  • Demonstrating creativity and thought leadership, and using experience in substantiating the proposed solutions to the customer
  • Writing specifications and working with developers where required
  • Maintaining and expanding customer contact at high levels and building credible relationships with key customer personnel by consistently delivering assigned tasks on time with high quality
  • Establishing self as the go-to person/”Advisor” for individual field of expertise, for both customers and colleagues
  • Managing customer and company expectations
  • Participating in pre-sales engagements – demonstrated ability to connect with customers when discussing best practices and SAP functionality

2) Provide Leadership by:

  • Deployment of consultants in the preparation of Blueprint Documents, Specifications, Business Process Procedures, Test scenarios, End User Documentation and User Manuals
  • Using appropriate implementation methodology and tools in a project
  • Being capable and available for interviewing candidates for potential opportunities within the company
  • Propagating the attune culture through actions

3) Invest time in the professional development of other consultants through coaching and mentoring and act as a role model through dedication to customer service, problem solving and demonstrating a highlevel of capability. Provide feedback to Consultants/Associate Consultants for improvement in their performance.

4) Work on more than one engagement at a time. Manage small engagements or a portion of a large engagement.

5) Understand customer requirements and assist in selling additional business. Work closely with attune sales force to create and define consulting projects and ensure that the customer’s overall business

objectives and needs are translated into well-defined and justified projects. This includes preparing work plans and contributing to proposals that describe the process used to meet the customer’s needs; includes deliverables, timelines and estimates of the costs and resources required.

6) Assist in the development and implementation of the project plan. This includes drafting the project plan for their functional area (scope, deliverables, timelines and resources) and preparing and assisting in the preparation of individual work plans.

7) Continuously develop SAP core skills, IS-specific skills and cross functional expertise and business knowledge based on accumulated experience and identify new business opportunities

8) Perform any additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when required by the management.

Required Qualifications

1) Deep proficiency in core module of SAP

2) Lateral knowledge of all complementary modules and with the ability to be deployable in a second module

3) Exposure to multiple project implementations

4) Capable of leading the functional team in the attune Implementation methodology

5) Have the ability to integrate proposed solution across modules and with 3rd party systems

6) At least 8 years prior work experience in a SAP consulting capacity

7) A minimum of 6 complete project life cycles in a SAP consulting capacity

8) Demonstrated ability and track record:

a. of designing solutions that integrate with all other modules

b. of designing scalable solutions with zero-fault rate in terms of functionality

c. of continuously learning new technology that is used on customer engagements

9) Exposure to the Fashion and Lifestyle Industry in a working capacity for at least 5 years

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1) General degree or equivalent/recognized professional qualifications

2) Formal training/certification in core module of SAP

3) Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. Ability to articulate ideas and opinions to all

stakeholders

4) Ability to lead and work in teams – interpersonal skills are essential

5) Leadership capabilities, result orientation, conceptual thinking, and innovative mindset

6) Ability and willingness to take on new initiatives/technologies
