This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to inspire creativity and nurture artistic talent in young minds.Position OverviewThe successful candidate will be a key member of the school’s Art and Design department, responsible for delivering a comprehensive and engaging curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role entails fostering a dynamic and inspiring learning environment that encourages artistic expression, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for the visual arts.Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver stimulating Art and Design lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school’s educational ethos.
  • Create a vibrant and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement, experimentation, and creative exploration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual artistic growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Art and Design department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in art education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art, Art Education, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary level.
