£28.5k per hourWarehouse/Stores Person in LutonNewstaff Recruitment Agency is recruiting for a Warehouse/Stores Person on behalf of our client based in Luton.Pay Rate: £28,500 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm
Employment Type: Full-time, PermanentKey Responsibilities:

• Accurately select items from stock and pack them securely for customer deliveries.
• Check delivered goods for damages or discrepancies, and report any issues to the relevant department.
• Safely load and unload goods from delivery vehicles, ensuring minimal damage during handling.
• Follow company health and safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Use warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (if certified) to move and organise stock.
• Assist customers who visit the warehouse or store, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
• Handle returned goods efficiently, updating the inventory system and organising items for restocking or disposal.
• Alert management to low stock levels to ensure timely reordering of popular items.
• Engage in regular team discussions to address operational challenges and improve warehouse efficiency.
• Help onboard and train new team members to ensure consistency in processes and procedures.
• Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse operations and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
• Ensure all inventory and warehouse records are up to date and ready for periodic audits

Essential Requirements:

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for stock entry and tracking.
• A full, clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
