ESG Intern in Consulting

Job Description & Summary

Are you in your 3rd or 4th year of university and passionate about sustainability? At PwC Bulgaria, we’re looking for an ESG Intern to join our Consulting team. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in a real consulting environment. 

No prior experience is needed — just a strong interest in ESG topics and a drive to contribute to meaningful projects. You’ll have the chance to support real consulting work, learn from sustainability experts, ,and assist clients in enhancing their ESG practices and achieving their sustainability goals.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist in preparing ESG reports and conducting regulatory compliance assessments for clients, including working with the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) to ensure adherence to reporting requirements.
• Support materiality assessments and data analysis to identify ESG performance gaps.
• Help integrate ESG risks and opportunities into clients’ strategies and processes.
• Collaborate with senior consultants and engage with PwC experts from across Europe.

Who You Are:

• A 3rd or 4th-year university student in business, environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related field.
• Passionate about sustainability with a strong interest in ESG topics.
• Proficient in Bulgarian and English (written and spoken).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint).
• Proactive and not afraid of challenges — you take the initiative and are excited to learn
• Excellent communicator with collaborative mindset.
