We have a strong reputation for effective working with business, industry and the public sector and our vision is to attain the highest levels of knowledge exchange with key stakeholders.Our departmentThe Department of Work Employment and Organisation is one of 6 Departments within Strathclyde Business School and is the highest-rated research department of its kind in Scotland. The Department delivers leading-edge, critical and policy-informing research on work and organisations in a Scottish, UK and international context. The Department is home to four undergraduate programmes within SBS (HRM, International Business and Hospitality and Tourism Management) and three Masters programmes, alongside collaboration on the Strathclyde MBA.WEO is home to the Scottish Centre for Employment Research (SCER). SCER’s purpose is to produce academic research of the highest quality and to deliver impact across private, public and third sector organisations. The Centre has delivered successfully on over £10m of research and knowledge exchange funding over the last decade from prestigious funders including UKRI research councils, NIHR, Innovate UK and other government, public, private and third sector funders, including leading the UK-wide PrOPEL Hub ( ). SCER’s current research focusses on core themes including fair work and job quality; workplace innovation; workplace health, employability and inclusion; and employment regulation and equality. - Your Fellowship will normally be at lecturer level (exceptionally, at senior lecturer (Grade 9) (£58,596 – £65,814) where you have a strong track record in research leadership) for 5 years, with the expectation that you’ll meet our promotion criteria within that period and be transferred to senior lecturer (or, where you’ve been appointed as a senior lecturer, Reader) level.
