So, why Optus?
At Optus, we don’t sit back and let the future happen to us – we’re out there making it. By expanding into new technology and relentlessly improving every day, we’re creating a better tomorrow for all Australians. We want to be Australia’s most loved everyday brand with lasting customer relationships by building unique customer connections, and by being digital everywhere and through our amazing people. We want Optus to be the right place for the best people to do their best work.
Critical to our business strategy is that we’re a highly coveted employer and employment brand with a reputation for attracting and hiring the strongest talent across all sectors. The role of HR Consultant is a key role within our ‘Connected Teams’ model and plays a critical delivery role with both P&C and our leader and employee population!
This role moves away from the traditional business partner model and the need for a defined job description and calls for a creative problem solver who can work across a multitude of HR specialities.
The role requires the ability to build relationships quickly, establish executive presence with senior leaders, apply critical thinking to understand business needs, create and implement improvement solutions from across the full range of HR initiatives which underpin the Optus P&C Strategy.
In this role you will work closely with the wider P&C team to lead change programs, review data, liaise with the Rewards and Talent team for internal/external hires. Participate in cyclical activities, run engagement surveys and facilitate workshops on occasion.
About you
- Degree Qualified in HR Management, Organisational Psychology, Business, or related field
- Prior experience working in HR Advisor / Generalists positions
- Previous exposure to leading change and delivering solutions
- Proven experience using data to identify strategic objectives
