The Maintenance Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains the physical plant as well as other hospital equipment/systems in a safe cost effective and industry accepted manner. Also, this position assures a safe and reliable environment in which to provide medical services.
Work Schedule:
40 hrs. weekly / 1.0 FTE, Monday-Friday 630am-3pm
On call rotation every 4th week Monday-Friday 10pm-530am
Required Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
o High school degree or equivalent
- Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
QUALIFYING LICENSURE UPON HIRE, NO CONTINGENCIES
- Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE:
o Chief A
o Chief B
o 1st Class A
o 1st Class B
o 2nd Class A
o 2nd Class B
IF ABOVE LICENSURE(S) NOT PRESENT AT HIRE
- Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE:
o Chief C upon hire
o 1st Class C upon hire
o 2nd Class C upon hire
o Special Engineers license
- Must obtain completion within 18 months of hire date:
o 2nd Class B license
- Must have a valid driver’s license in the state of employee residence and meet all criteria required under Lakeview’s Automobile Liability Guidelines
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
o Basic computer and email skills
o Good customer service, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude skills, and able to change or reprioritize in a fast pace environment to meet our patients/building needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
o Technical school training in plant operations/building maintenance and/or HVAC
o 1-year experience in the operation of H.V.A.C., refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, preferably in a health care setting
