We are committed to creating a supportive and flexible workplace where everyone can thrive, grow and make an impact on small business owners and accountants.The Opportunity – Marketing Manager, Accountant Channel & Strategic ProgramsAs a Marketing Manager, you will lead Marketing strategy, planning and GTM activity for our Accountant Channel and Strategic Programs. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue & Product Marketing, you will be part of a high-performing Marketing team with access to expertise and resources across the customer funnel.In this role, you will find and manage growth opportunities to attract, engage and convert accounting professionals to our Accounting Partner Program, and be a key strategic partner for our Sales, Product and Business Development stakeholders. You will own marketing campaigns and lead generation tactics, expand the benefits offered through the partner program, and create journeys to engage prospective and existing partners. You will also support the evolution of other strategic programs outside of the Accountant Channel, such as Payroll.This is a 12-month contract opportunity to join our Marketing team, covering a team member on parental leave. There may be an opportunity to transition into a full-time position based on business needs and performance.Please note: This role can be performed remotely; however, the working hours will be 9 AM to 5 PM EST/EDT.What You’ll Do:
- Create and Manage Programs to engage and convert Accounting Professionals on FreshBooks to become Active Referral Partners:
- Work in collaboration with the Sales, Data, Product and Marketing teams, to identify, engage and convert potential leads within the Accounting Partner customer base to achieve our partner engagement & client referral targets.
- Develop a deeper understanding of the customer base, and formulate and launch new programs and offerings designed to engage FreshBooks Accounting Partners.
- Develop and execute effective onboarding journeys and continuous engagement touchpoints that create a seamless experience for FreshBooks Accounting Partners.
- Lead the creation of an education strategy to equip accounting professionals with the knowledge they need to adopt FreshBooks in their practice, including managing content development and promotion tactics.
- Support new product feature releases as the lead for product positioning, messaging and GTM initiatives targeted at FreshBooks Accounting partners.
- Report on Performance and Operational efficiency
- Lead the preparation and dissemination of reporting requirements that monitor the health of our Accountant Channel marketing efforts.
- Prepare regular updates and presentations on conversion and engagement campaigns and initiatives, highlighting key findings, successes, and areas for improvement.
- Support budget planning and forecasting for key marketing activities, including but not limited to partnerships, events, freelancers, and software.
- Create and manage other strategic programs, related to product adoption and growth:
- This could include providing strategic direction to other programs, unrelated to Accountants. Possible strategic programs could include Payroll (our embedded solution and our integration partners).
What you’ll bring:
- Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in marketing, programs, and/or community building.
- Highly developed organization and project management skills with proven success in owning complex projects and initiatives from ideation through to retrospective analysis and reporting.
- Experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders and influencing cross-functional teams to rally behind shared goals and initiatives.
- Experience using data/analytics to infer insights, measure the effectiveness of your work, effectively share it internally and make data-driven recommendations.
- Strategic thinking, ability to understand the “big picture” and use creative problem solving to identify gaps, and opportunities and drive results.
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, with strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
