Scholars School System, a project of UK CURRICULUM & ACCREDITATION BODY (UKCAB, a registered charity founded in 2006), is seeking a Deputy Programme Lead for Business Management across all campuses, including Birmingham, Manchester, London, Bradford, and Leicester.Reports to: Director of OperationsPurpose:Scholars School System is seeking to appoint a Deputy Programme Lead – Business Management to play a key role in supporting the direction of the Scholars School System, providing vision, direction and inspirational operational leadership and championing the enhancement of education for the Business Management portfolio across all campuses.Responsibilities:Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- support the Programme Lead in managing Business Management courses across campuses, ensuring quality and academic excellence.
- Oversee learning outcomes, teaching plans, program structure, content quality, and teaching approaches, supporting colleagues to meet organizational and statutory requirements.
- Apply knowledge from scholarship, academic practice, and professional standards to enhance teaching and learning, including module leadership.
- Promote innovation in student education, using digital and other resources to support learning with a focus on student partnership.
- Manage the student academic journey, ensuring accurate records and progression under the Associate Dean’s guidance.
- Oversee day-to-day operational management of the relevant subject area.
- Act as a key point of contact with partner institution staff.
- Deputize for the Programme Lead, attend relevant committees/boards, report on progress, and write reports as needed.
- Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to share and promote best practices and innovation across the University.
- Contribute to the promotion of equality, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring all staff and students feel valued and included.
Requirements:Essential:
- PHD/EDD
- BSc/Master’s Degree in Business Management subject
- Higher education teaching qualification such as PGCert/SFHEA
- Proven experience of leading department/team within a higher education setting within United Kingdom.
Salary and Benefits:
- £45,000 – £50,000
- Basic hours are 9am to 6pm on site
- Trips away from the office are often required
- Holiday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Up to £5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period
- 3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIs
