About HALO Trust: The HALO Trust is the world’s largest international humanitarian Mine Action Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). HALO’s mission is to save lives and restore communities affected by Explosive Remnants of War (ERW), including landmines, aircraft and cluster bombs, artillery projectiles, rockets and missiles, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Established in Afghanistan in 1988, HALO now employs nearly 10,000 staff across 28 countries and territories.

HALO’s Syria Program: HALO’s program in Syria was established in 2016 and is coordinated from offices in Amman, Jordan, and Syria. HALO conducts its projects in Syria through national NGO partners and a HALO Field Office in Kelli, Idleb. Current projects in Syria include Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), Non-Technical Survey (NTS), Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE).

Job Description and Requirements:

• Assisting in Identifying, marking and reporting all single items of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).
• Assisting in identifying contaminated communities with ERW
• Following all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) while conducting NTS Tasks.
• Coordinate with local authorities before and during the Tasks.
• Coordinate and liaise with HALO Operations Room in line with SOP.
• Adhere to all directives issued by the Team Leader/Deputy Team leader in the absence of the Team Leader.

الوصف الوظيفي والمتطلبات:

• المساعدة في اعمال تحديد وتأشير والإبلاغ عن جميع الأجسام من مخلفات الحرب .
• المساعدة في تقييم المدن والقرى الملوثة بالمخلفات الحربية
• اتباع جميع إجراءات التشغيل القياسية أثناء تنفيذ مهام NTS والتنسيق مع السلطات المحلية قبل وأثناء تنفيذ المهام
• الحفاظ على إتصال دائم ومباشر مع غرفة العمليات.
• التقيد بكافة التوجيهات الصادرة من قائد الفريق/مساعد قائد الفريق في حال غياب قائد الفريق .

المعايير الأساسية:

• شهادة ثانوية عامة أو أعلى.

• امتلاك مهارات أساسية قوية، تشمل:

المبادرة.

• التحفيز الذاتي.
• التفكير التحليلي.
• حل المشكلات.

• القدرة على التخطيط، وتحديد الأولويات، وتنفيذ المهام بشكل مستقل ضمن الأطر الزمنية المحددة.

• مهارات قوية في التواصل والعمل الجماعي.

• القدرة على العمل تحت ضغط في الميدان.

المعايير المفضلة:

• خبرة من 1 إلى 2 سنة في قطاع المنظمات غير الحكومية (NGO).
• مستوى جيد في الكتابة والتحدث باللغة الإنجليزية.
• إثبات كفاءة جيدة في استخدام Microsoft Excel وتطبيقات Microsoft Office
• خبرة في المسح غير التقني للمخلفات الحربية
• خبرة في العمل الميداني.

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

• High school diploma or higher.
• Possession of strong fundamental skills, including:
• Initiative
• Self-motivation.
• Analytical thinking and
• Problem solving.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks independently within specified timeframes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under field pressure.

Preferred Criteria:

• 1 to 2 years of experience in the NGO sector.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
• Proven competency in using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in Non-Technical Survey (NTS) of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).
• Work in the field Experience.
