Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients. 
  • Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards. 
  • Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions. 
  • Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures. 
  • Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner. 
  • This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills. 
  • You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer. 

Additional Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Interacting with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees and the general public.
  • Enforcing client and company policies and procedures.
  • Badge Compliance.
  • Respond, compile and report all information in regard to theft, alarms, accidents and other incidents that may occur.
  • Observe and report all unusual activity.
  • Report all building utility/ service issues as observed and instructed to facilities.
  • Notify, assist and direct emergency personnel as necessary.
  • Security access of authorized personnel into building including visitors and their employee sponsors, client employees and / or contractors.
  • Dispatch patrol to allow access to authorized personnel for secured areas.
  • Dispatch patrol to check and/ or secure access areas into and onto client’s premises, as well as, highly sensitive locations within the buildings.
  • Monitor the movements and locations of all account security personnel in order to expedite service requests, emergency responses and to ensure employee safety.
  • Operate telephone and radio equipment
  • Prepare all required written reports, including but not limited to: Dispatch logs, Incident Reports, and all required logs.
  • Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all life safety, access control and loss prevention systems and related sub-systems.
  • Respond to system alarms and notifies the appropriate response resources as directed by procedure.
  • Responsible for the proper operation and monitoring of all security telephone, paging, radio and intercom communication systems.
  • Maintains and operates video surveillance system and equipment.
  • Maintain 100% uptime on alarm reliability

Qualifications: 

  • 18+ years of age 
  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. 
  • Clean driving record and valid driver license 
  • Capable of following complex instructions 
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Willingness to participate in the company’s screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. 
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures
