Job Summary:The AME is responsible for ensuring that all aircraft maintenance is accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance Policy Manual and in accordance with the Detailed Procedures Documents. AMEs are also responsible for ensuring all aircraft technical documents and Canadian Aviation Regulations are adhered to. Duties & Responsibilities:Ensure maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with the policies and procedures contained in the MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals and Transport Canada requirements;Maintain an AME M2 license and ACA qualifications, as required, on company aircraft;Acquire and maintain Airport Security Clearance, AVOP, Passport, and full ‘G’ Driver’s LicenseResponsible for mentoring new Apprentices;Liaise with the Lead and MOC with regards to scheduled assigned overnight work packages;Ensure that all Porter technical documentation, such as maintenance releases, associated with defects or Work Packs is accomplished as per company standards prior to submission to Technical Records;Assist with ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance, and generate logs for any equipment that requires repair;Responsible to ensure the consumable materials and tooling stored in the hangar and service vehicles are maintained in a neat and tidy manner;Responsible for supporting AOG maintenance system wide as required;Assist the Lead in ensuring the hangar work areas, including all locations in hangar, office, and storage facility as well as service vehicles and equipment are kept clean in an effort to maintain a safe work environment;Actively participates in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy.Other duties and tasks as assigned. Qualifications:Embraer E-Jet experience an assetExperience with Honeywell Epic Avionics suite considered an assetPrevious experience on the E1 platform preferredHolder of valid passportAbility to obtain airside clearance (RAIC) with associated background checksAbility to obtain and AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operator Permit)Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR’s)Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to delegate effectivelyExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills, both spoken and writtenWorking knowledge of AMOS, a maintenance software platform, considered an assetMust be available/able to travel to Brazil for acceptance inspections on new E195-E2 aircraft as well as for training requirements #LI-Onsite Company Description:Since 2006, Porter Airlines has been elevating the experience of economy air travel for every passenger, providing genuine hospitality with style, care and charm.
