We have an exciting developmental opportunity in the central York community mental health team working with working age adults for a trainee Mental Health Wellbeing PractitionerThis is an exciting new role created by NHS England and Improvement to support the transformation of adult community mental health services. The successful candidates will be based in a community mental health team and be enrolled at Hull University to undertake a certificate in mental health wellbeing practice. Attendance at university will be a hybrid of remote and on campus. The training will be fully funded by the NHS and the course lasts for 12 months. There will be time in the job plan to undertake the certificate. On successful completion of the course the post holder will transition to a full time Band 5 position as a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner. This post may be in a different team to the team where training position was hosted.Main duties of the jobA Bachelor’s degree at 2:2 in any subjectOrevidence of ability to study successfully at academic Level 5 through having one of the below:
- diploma of higher education (DipHE)
- foundation degree
- higher national diploma (HND)
- level 5 award
- level 5 certificate
- level 5 diploma
- level 4 or 5 NVQ
In addition the requirement is for someone with:
- Experience of work interacting with the public, working as part of a team, analysing complex information and communicating effectively.
- Who is able to demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain empathic, supportive relationships with people in significant distress, their families and carers
