Sr. Accountant in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey

Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our clients team. In this role, you will be tasked with maintaining accurate financial records, carrying out account reconciliations, and utilizing various accounting software, among other responsibilities. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the reconciliation of bank statements to ensure accuracy

• Maintain a thorough record of all financial transactions in the general ledger

• Carry out account reconciliations to prevent discrepancies

• Prepare journal entries and ensure they are entered into the system accurately

• Utilize accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite effectively

• Use Microsoft Excel for various financial tasks

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation periodically

• Ensure the month end close process is completed in a timely manner

Requirements • Proficiency in using IT software specific to accounting such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Demonstrated ability in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation, ensuring all financial statements are correct and compliant

• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations, comparing our financial records with those of the bank

• Familiarity with maintaining the General Ledger, recording all business transactions in a systematic manner

• Capability to create and manage Journal Entries, recording financial transactions of the company

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, using it to create spreadsheets, compute data, and create graphs

• Experience in handling Month End Close, ensuring all financial data is recorded and reconciled at the end of each month
