This position is responsible for the management of the tennis and pickleball programs.
Position Performance Area/Expectations:
-
Works collaboratively with all department leaders to ensure department and club goals are achieved.

Promotes and implements tennis and pickleball programs to meet or exceed targeted revenues in accordance with budget.

Completes the annual department budget for approval.

Monitors the financial performance, opportunities for improvement and condition of all tennis and pickleball programs.

Provides members and guests with high quality, professional tennis instruction that focuses on learning, safety and enjoyment.

Manages, motivates and trains all tennis and pickleball staff so that each individual may have the opportunity to excel in their position
-
Responsible for planning lessons, directing work, annual performance appraisals, addressing concerns and complaints and solving problems.

Serves as a liaison between the Healthplex and the community it serves.
-
Supports special events and tournaments as needed.

Ensure court appearance and surroundings areas are presentable.
-
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Healthplex policies and applicable laws.

Serves as Manager on Duty.
Position Requirements :
-
Education: High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree level of education is preferred
-
Certifications:
-
Maintain at least one national recognized certification in the tennis industry (preferred)
-
USTA Safeplay certified
-
Current CPR/AED certification
-
Special Skills:
-
Serve Tennis and Universal Tennis Rating (preferred)
-
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
-
Demonstrate excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
-
Experience:
-
5+ years of tennis lesson/instruction experience (preferred)
-
Minimum 3-5 years of previous management experience (preferred)
-
Other:
-
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word and Excel
-
Ability to develop and manage a financial budget
-
Computer knowledge with regards to Club Automation (preferred)
-
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Possesses the ability to work in high pressure situations, manage multiple deadlines and frequent interruptions and have a strong attention to detail.

Customer service-oriented and able to relate to all levels of staff.
-
The employee may need to work early mornings, evenings and/or weekends to ensure center goals are met.
$35.13 – $52.69 Hourly
RUSH salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data.
