As a Senior Investment Officer, working in a deal team, you will be responsible for all aspects of assigned debt and guarantee portfolio transactions, from first disbursement to final repayment. You will work with portfolio clients in several sectors, through project finance and corporate finance structures.
You will:
a. Credit Monitoring
Independently prepare periodic credit monitoring reports, propose risk ratings, and align credit approvers.
Analyze client financial data, problems and remedial actions.
Work with assigned senior staff regarding warning signals or potential problems in transactions; and design and implement remedial actions.
Lead missions related to transaction monitoring.
b. Project Monitoring
Lead and ensure client adherence to their periodic submission obligations to ADB.
Communicate with clients and coordinate internally to avoid unexpected developments.
Monitor development effectiveness, and environmental and social management compliance, coordinating with internal specialists.
Manage client relationships, and lead meetings and business trips.
c. Disbursements
Lead and ensure processing of disbursement requests, verify compliance with disbursement conditions and loan covenants. Follow up on submission, completeness and validity of required documents.
d. Database Maintenance
Ensure completeness and maintenance of databases for legal, financial, and security documents.
e. Project Reviews and Project Completion Reports
Lead, with a high degree of independence, assessment of financial and developmental performance of projects, including visiting sites and conducting interviews.
f. Administrative and Planning Support
Contribute to and lead plans designed to facilitate interaction across ADB.
Lead preparation of inputs for planning and budget exercises.
Lead special projects.
Support knowledge sharing and strategy related programs.
Qualifications:
You will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related fields, preferably with a Master’s degree or equivalent.
- At least 8 years relevant work experience, in corporate finance and/or project finance, with a major international financial institution, accountancy/consultancy firm, or infrastructure developer; including at least 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Deep experience with credit risk, across a range of financial products and transaction types.
- Client management expertise.
- Experience operating independently, identifying tasks and priorities, formulating plans, and implementing.
- Experience collecting and organizing information for analysis and organization; conducting research of complex tasks, and preparing notes, papers and detailed reports.
- Skills and confidence required to lead discussions and negotiations with internal and external clients.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English and Thai.
