Here at EDC we have an exciting opportunity for a well organised and self-motivated Health, Safety and Environments Manager to join the East Durham College Team on a full time permanent basis.Main Duties of the Role:The purpose of the post is to provide leadership, advice, guidance and support in relation to all health, safety and environmental matters throughout the college in addition to promoting a positive health and safety culture amongst staff, students, contractors, and visitors.Main duties of the post will require the successful candidate to deliver on the following; Stakeholder Management, Service Delivery, Innovation and Continuous Improvement as well as General and College Responsibilities.Essential Requirement: * NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety

  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a working health & safety role.
  • Experience of managing or leading health & safety within the education sector
  • Experienced Health & Safety Trainer
  • Ability to prepare, and present briefing materials/reports to a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of risk management
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the practical application of health & safety legislation.
