Position Overview:
The Project Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the Peace and Security Monitor project in the Indo-Pacific Programme of the Platform for Peace and Humanity. The Project Coordinator’s key responsibility is ensuring the timely publication of the Monitor, released quarterly by the Programme. The bulk of the Project Coordinator’s work will be coordinating and leading a team of volunteer researchers and providing them with direction, guidance, and edits of their written outputs in accordance with the Platform’s workflow and deadlines.
The Project Coordinator should take a keen interest in the vision and objectives of the Platform and should be sufficiently informed about the region to direct and cultivate research questions to be addressed in the Monitor. The Project Coordinator will report to the Programme Director, with bi-monthly reporting to the Management Board.
Whilst this is currently an unpaid role, this is a middle-management role within the organisation. This role is ideal for someone looking to remotely develop management experience and new skills in an international non-governmental organization, alongside their other commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely publication of the Monitor every quarter by managing and directing the research tasks resulting in written outputs, incl. policy recommendations which further organisational objectives
- Provide guidance to researchers and ensure quality control of written outputs for the Monitor
- Supervise a group of approximately 10 globally-based volunteer researchers
- Cooperate with editors to finalise the content for the Monitor publication
- Manage and coordinate other tasks related to the preparation and publication of the Monitor
- Assist with the promotion of the Monitor’s quarterly release
- Provide other forms of support to the programme, including recruiting and onboarding new researchers and other staff, assisting with online events and programmatic development, briefing the Management Board and engaging in fundraising
Qualifications:
Mandatory
- Master’s degree in international law, international security, peace and conflict studies or other related fields
- Demonstrated passion and dedication to the mission and values of the organization
- Good orientation in the latest political, legal, or human rights-related developments in countries in the region
- Experience leading a team to a tangible result, in a formal or informal setting
- Professional-level English written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with publication production and/or writing experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously and productively on a remote team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex information and messages in a straightforward way for the target audiences
Desirable
- Entrepreneurial spirit with out-of-the-box thinking
- Previous experience with non-governmental organisations and/or publication production, or project management
- Experience of living or working in the Indo-Pacific region
