Responsibilities
In keeping with the French Hospital Medical Center health care philosophy the Staff Educator assesses plans implements evaluates documents and coordinates educational and training programs for the French Hospital Medical staff. Supervises and evaluates effectiveness of services provided by other support and professional staff.
Qualifications
A minimum of three years clinical experience. Education/in-service experience required. Ability to effectively teach classes to medical center staff of all classifications. Demonstrates knowledge of adult teaching principles and their application. Ability to work with a team to plan develop and implement programs to increase knowledge. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Possesses initiative and the ability to work independently. Ability to effectively assess and prioritize educational needs. Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology medical concepts anatomy and physiology. Ability to promote standards of nursing practice by using them as a framework for teaching serves as a role model for staff. BLS and ACLS provider certification required. BLS ACLS and PALS instructor certification required within six months of hire.
Pay Range
$47.82 – $70.15 /hour
