Summary

The Freight Utility is responsible for providing clerical functions throughout the logistics department. This position will maintain in/outbound shipment information and coordinate freight line and customer pickups

Duties

• Process production orders for truck shipments to comply with specified shipping lead time
• Process LTL, truckload & expedite shipments (Inbound and outbound) using Acumatica and TMS
• Calculate and add customer freight charges (and carrier costs) to orders in TMS and Acumatica
• Provide LTL freight quotes to customers and sales departments in a timely manner
• Troubleshoot and develop solutions with challenging delivery locations and time sensitivity
• Assist with carrier freight bill audit
• Provide freight claim processing as needed
• Provide Support on parcel quotes and carrier invoice audit
• Enter international orders online as needed
• Accurately process incoming shipments, including inspecting, counting, and verifying items against purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products according to company standards.
• Utilize RF scanners and MRP systems to track inventory levels and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving transactions.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely to move products within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency in the shipping and receiving department.
• Assist in inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.

Skills

• Proficiency in order fulfillment processes with a strong understanding of e-commerce operations.
• Familiarity with ERP systems for inventory management is a plus.
• Basic math skills for accurate counting and measurement of products.
• experience with picking, packing, and shipping procedures in a distribution center environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
