Job Skills / Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling & Coverage:
    • Create and maintain weekly security officer schedules.
    • Update schedules as needed due to time-off requests, call-outs, or changes in site needs.
    • Respond promptly to call-outs by contacting off-duty personnel to fill open shifts.
    • Personally fill in for open shifts when no coverage can be secured.
  • Equipment Oversight:
    • Review daily equipment logs and vehicle inspection reports.
    • Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to SPECS immediately to ensure timely replacement or repair.
    • Monitor the use and condition of radios, uniforms, patrol vehicles, and other issued gear.
  • Leadership & Accountability:
    • Act as the point of contact for frontline officers regarding minor operational issues and personnel concerns.
    • Address violations of policy or unprofessional behavior immediately.
    • Document and issue write-ups as needed, following proper documentation procedures.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork within the security team.
education Requirements (All)

High School Diploma or GED

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid Drivers License
Maryland Guard Card
