$20.94 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Parti-time/25 hours per week. Work schedule is variable. Performs entry-level professional work assisting with urban/regional planning projects, including reviewing plans and collecting and analyzing data for planning projects related to the area of assignment and assisting in community planning and design studies.

REQUIREMENTS: Graduation within the past twelve (12) months from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban/Regional Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field OR student who has successfully completed at least three (3) years [30 semester (45 quarter) hours = one (1) year] of a Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university in Urban/Regional Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field PLUS must meet all of the requirements for graduation within twelve (12) months of submitting the Intern Application OR current student enrolled in a Master’s degree program at an accredited college or university in Urban/Regional Planning, Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Statistics, or a closely related field. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
