Job Title: Service Operator I
Location: Columbia, SC 29219
Duration: 12 months
Shift/Hours: Mon to Fri 8am to 6pm
Key Responsibilities:

Shift/Hours: Mon to Fri 8am to 6pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives and processes incoming switchboard calls.
- 80% Answers and transfers incoming internal and external calls.
- 10% Responsible for maintaining departmental reports.
- 5% Assists department with mailings.
- 5% Trains new employees.
Required Qualifications:
- Organizational skills.
- Good judgment and customer service skills.
- Strong listening skills.
- Good verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Proficient grammar skills. Ability to navigate through the Windows operating system environment.
- Must have good typing and talking skills.
- Ability to multi-task. Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with computer console and directory.
- Preferred Software and Other Tools: Working knowledge of switchboard equipment.
- Work Environment: Typical office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required Work experience: No previous work experience is required. 1 year of switchboard experience.
