Fredrikson is the premier Midwest-based law firm working collaboratively to help businesses achieve their goals regionally, nationally, and globally. We are seeking an Office Administrator to help lead our growing Fargo and Bismarck offices.
Overview:
The Office Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day business operations of the Fargo and Bismarck Offices (“ND Offices”), collaborating with other offices, and supervising non-attorney administrative staff. The Office Administrator works closely with the firm’s senior management team, including ND Office Lead Attorneys, Director of Legal Support, IT Department, Facilities, Human Resources, and other applicable administrative departments, and serves as the primary office contact for non-attorney employees in the ND Offices. We are a firm that is always thinking about how we approach our work in continually improved ways, and this role is important in making that happen. This is an exempt position with flexibility to work in a hybrid environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:
*Leadership of Direct Reports: Manage and lead hiring efforts, workflow, job performance, training and onboarding, meetings, and teamwork.
*Marketing: Collaborate on marketing budget, occasional live event management support, the marketing calendar and material inventory, and memberships.
*Office Services: Manage and oversee local office services needs and activities and coordinate Facilities repair, improvement, and construction work.
*Other: Lead office communication efforts; collaborate with the IT department to oversee all office technology; partner with Finance to review and approve invoices, expenses, and cash management for the office; evaluate and identify process improvements; collaborate on preparing the social and interoffice travel budgets; coordinate office social events; maintain a pulse on the community and law firm best practices; work closely with the Director of Legal Support and ND Office Lead Attorneys to support the law practice; assume other responsibilities as assigned or apparent.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*An associate’s degree or equivalent experience;
*5+ years’ supervisory experience (including recruiting, hiring and performance management), in a law firm.
*Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, consistently promoting a positive, professional attitude and approach to the job, the Firm, colleagues, and the public;
*An ability to work independently with excellent judgment, analytical, project management, prioritization, and organization skills; able to use time efficiently and meet deadlines;
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
*An ability to make effective recommendations with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation while being a flexible and dedicated teammate;
