As a Security Officer – Metal Detector in North Little Rock, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and monitoring access points within a dynamic retail or mall environment. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will support a welcoming atmosphere while you manage entry procedures and provide outstanding customer service. What You’ll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures by verifying identification and granting or denying entry to authorized individuals at the location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors by answering questions and offering directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to observe for irregularities and/or security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and daily occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including assisting with evacuations and/or coordinating with local authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
