ROLE PROFILE
TITLE: Community Facilitator(Child Protection)
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Child Protection LOCATION: (TKP Office), Rakhine Area
Number of Position: 1
GRADE: NAT – 6 CONTRACT LENGTH: Fixed Term
CHILD SAFEGUARDING: (select only one)
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the vetting process staff.
ROLE PURPOSE: To facilitate the effective and successful planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of gender responsive programme activities in assigned camps and rural/urban areas – in collaboration with the Project Officers. To conduct regular montioring at assigned areas to alert for all protection cases, to support children and community members in accessing services and receiving proper case and follow up service providers.To conduct trainings, meetings, awareness sessions, MHPSS activities in assigned camp area, and supervise CFS animators. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
• Work closely with community members in addressing Child protection cases through referral mechanisms and services provided while keeping into account community based mechanisms.
• ReguularChild Protection Cases Follow Up
• Ensure community mobilisation, and coordinate with the stakeholders at the assigned areas
• Assist supervisor in preparing and holding meetings & trainings as well as developing weekly and monthly work plan and budget estimation
• Assist supervisor in supporting the technical implementations of plans to facilitate CP related information and coordinate with other agencies when needed.
• Case forms data entry and send to line manager and database focal in weekly and monthly basis
• Support supervisor and co-facilitate in capacity building trainings to PSS Facilitators in project areas
• Support PSS Facilitaors in activities implementation and capacity development
• Guide and support PSS Facilitators in developing work plans and training plans
• Any other duties and tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Regular monitoring both CFS activities and case management activities.

• Make sure that you and your supervisees (PSS Facilitatators) are aware of Child Safeguarding Policy and code of conduct and apply all the time

QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be matriculation exam passed for this post
• Ability of communication in Burmese and Rakhine (if applicable)
• Ability to read and write in Burmese
• Ability basic computer skills such as word , Excel ,Internet and Etc
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
• Advanced computer proficiency especially in MS Office suite
• Have experience working with children using child friendly approaches and techniques
• A commitment to children’s rights, children’s participation and non-discrimination.
• Fluency in both oral and written communication in Myanmar, fluency of local language is an asset

• Flexible work attitude: the ability to work productively in a team environment & independently.
• High motivation to work with difficult circumstances
Skills and Experience:
• Less than or equal to 1 year experience about child protection or humanitarian works
• Knowledge about INGOs/NGOs
Education:
• Secondary school education (Matriculation)
Communication and Technical Skills
• Excellent Myanmar communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Willingness to travel to field offices and work in difficult environment according to travel requirements
General:
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation developing effective working relationships to deliver outstanding results for children
• Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
• Willingness and capability to comply with all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to health and safety, security, equal opportunities and other relevant policies, including the Child Safeguarding Policy
