Summary
Job Description:
Patient Care Tech – ER
Full Time, Second Shift – 11a-11p
Facilitates patient care by performing specific task and support functions as delegated by the Registered Nurse or designee. Collaborates with all team members to provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and associates.
Job Duties:
- Transport patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times to and from diagnostic and treatment areas.
- Performs phlebotomy/clinical laboratory, respiratory duties, cardiology duties, and vital signs as listed on skills checklist.
- Performing clerical, receptionist, and supply duties for the nursing unit complementing nursing care: computer system admissions, transfers, and dismissals.
- Perform complete and detailed medication histories during the check-in process.
- Trained as a monitor tech and provides relief when needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Requirements:
- Recent experience in health care setting providing patient care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, previous phlebotomy/point of care testing
