Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for dedicated Diagnostic Imaging MRI Trainee to join the team. This role will be Full-time with days/shifts reflecting the candidate’s and program’s educational needs.

Diagnostic Imaging MRI Trainee Job Responsibilities:

The Diagnostic Imaging MRI Trainee will complete an online certification program to help clinical specialists learn ARRT MRI Structured Education to sit confidently for the MRI registry. The certificate program will be paired with hands-on clinical hours teaching the students techniques and procedures vital to becoming a certified MRI Technologist.

Participate in a structured training program to learn the principles of MRI technology, safety protocols, and patient care procedures.

Complete Training Modules and exams as scheduled.

Attend educational sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology relevant to MRI imaging.

Prepare MRI equipment and examination rooms before procedures.

Safely administer starter IV, and correctly utilize the power injector for exams requiring IV contrast.

May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School or GED
- Experience: 2 years of clinical working experience
- Certification:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registered in radiography or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMIT) or Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification 18 months upon acceptance of the offer.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support required upon start
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist or MRI Tech in a hospital/healthcare environment, preferred.
