Reports To: VP of Member experience
Role:
Responsible for developing member relationships, processing and reviewing production & member satisfaction reports, handling various member service issues, and providing lobby leadership at the branch level. The summer internship role has the potential to be extended.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Greets and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous and professional manner. Provide prompt, accurate and efficient service when guiding members, and ensuring that all of their needs are met.
- Identifies and pursues opportunities to promote and cross sell credit union products and services.
- Informs members of current promotions. Identifies members who may benefit from specialized services (i.e. investments, mortgages) and refers them to the appropriate department.
- Responsible for learning the credit union’s product and service offerings as well as current promotions in order to effectively communicate the benefits to members.
- Assists with balancing the ATM, TCR, Vault, and performing other dual control functions in conjunction with branch management.
- Researches member problems and assists with first-line and escalated resolutions.
- Follows all established security procedures and reports security concerns to management.
- Provides assistance to the Operations Support Department as needed
- Works directly with the VP of Member Experience to review and analyze various production and member satisfaction scores.
- Works to review and resolve member service issues in conjunction with the VP of Member Experience as well as Branch Management.
- Remains cognizant of and adheres to Mid Atlantic Federal Credit Union’s policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

- To be punctual and ready to start working per agreed upon schedule.
- To maintain the strictest confidentiality with Credit Union information.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Not Applicable
education: Equivalent to an 11th grade High School Education
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: PC proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements: This position is primarily based in a general office environment. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:
- Mobility: Ability to move about the office to access files, office equipment, and interact with colleagues.
- Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling office supplies and equipment.
- Visual Acuity: Ability to read and interpret documents, emails, and computer screens for extended periods.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via digital platforms.
- Sitting/Standing: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with occasional standing or walking.
- Lifting: Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 50 pounds, such as office supplies or small equipment.
