Our ideal candidate is a high-energy, positive individual who is comfortable using technology and eager to learn new equipment. They must be adaptable to the changing needs and priorities of the City of West Allis. The shift runs from Sunday to Thursday, from 11 PM to 7 AM.

– Operating various types of equipment and machinery, such as trucks, tandem vehicles, large rubber-tired end loaders, street sweepers, snow blowers for front-end loaders, Dickey-John salt spreading systems, and refuse or recycling packers.
-Assisting with snow removal, applying salt and sand, and performing routine manual labor related to equipment operation in construction, maintenance, and service activities. Additionally, the position requires keeping work records and compiling related reports.
This position is essential for the construction, maintenance, and service activities for which the department is responsible.
Physical Demands:
Candidates must have the physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform manual labor for extended periods. They should also be able to tolerate various weather and working conditions, including temperature extremes, odors, noise, and dust.
