Material Handler I

Location: Sussex, WI
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday jobs-near-me.org 10:45 PM – 7:00 AM

$2.00/hour shift differential

About the Role

Are you looking for a hands-on role where you can make an impact every day? As a Material Handler I, you’ll be a key player in keeping our operations running smoothly. You’ll move materials efficiently and safely throughout the department, ensuring everything is in the right place at the right time. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in accuracy and organization, this is the job for you!

What You’ll Do

• Safely transport materials to designated areas within the facility.
• Operate forklifts and other power-driven equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
• Handle pallets, trays, and racking systems with care and precision.
• Use barcode scanners to track inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with leadership about inventory discrepancies and labeling needs.
• Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
• Keep work areas clean and organized while following safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support team success.

What We’re Looking For

• education: High School diploma or GED required.
• experience: At least 6 months in a technically oriented or material handling role preferred.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Basic knowledge of shipping and warehouse operations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Comfortable using MS Office and learning new systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours as needed to meet customer demands.
  • Safety-first mindset and adherence to security procedures.
