What is the opportunity?

The CAO Europe supports the regional European Senior Leadership Team through execution and delivery of a diverse range of business strategic initiatives, operational priorities and entity governance activities.

The team supports the business through a variety of initiatives and themes, including current market-related issues, business reorganisation / integration and regulatory driven change.

We are looking for an eager and high-performing individual to act as a Project Manager within our group, with a focus on delivering impactful business outcomes.

This is a 6-month Fixed Term opportunity.

What will you do?

• Develop key relationships within the Business, Functions, and across RBC segments, to execute on project deliverables.
• Define governance arrangements and lead working groups with cross functional teams to deliver results, triage issues, and drive progress.
• Work with functional partners to develop and maintain project plans, and provide on-going oversight to ensure that tasks are on track to meet project milestones.
• Contribute to the preparation of senior management meeting materials, such as Steering Committee and Executive Committee meetings, as well as other regularly scheduled project forums.
• Support status reporting to ensure project goals and objectives are executed and clearly, consistently communicated across all teams.
• Facilitate issue resolution/escalation, manage interdependencies and ensure the accurate maintenance of the RAID log.
• Work with third party suppliers/consultants as required to deliver on project objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

• Undergraduate university degree in Business, Finance or a related field or similar/equivalent.
• Extensive program management or management consultant experience with a demonstrated track record of leadership, problem-solving, and relationship management.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong knowledge of how banks/financial institutions operate, across front, middle and back office operations and supporting functions. Broad knowledge of Capital Markets, Wealth Management and Asset Management business operations would be an advantage.
• Ability to collaborate, partner with senior business stakeholders, project managers and team members.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong PowerPoint skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity.
• A passion for learning.

Nice to Have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified.
