The College of Nursing invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Academic Advisor II. As a member of the Office of Student & Academic Affairs (OSAA), this role supports undergraduate and graduate nursing students from their first day of class until they graduate from the College. An Academic Advisor serves as a front-line contact for students with developmental advising to empower students to meet their academic and career goals, maximizing student success and retention. The Academic Advisor will develop formative relationships with students by interpreting information and providing clarification on procedures, policies, and academic requirements. They will determine whether degree requirements have been fulfilled, counsel students on options to satisfy degree requirements, refer students to appropriate student success resources, and report student data. The Academic Advisor II is able to provide reliable academic advising independently and continues to enhance their advising competence.
