The Goal

What you’ll be doing

• Key role in the record-to-report accounting process for the company, ensuring timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with finance teams based in London and Athens to ensure proper recording and reporting of transactions.
• Prepare general ledger journal entries and adjustments.
• Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare VAT/GST returns in compliance with local requirements.
• Prepare month-end reporting packages, highlighting key financial performance metrics and variances.
• Ensure that internal controls requirements are met throughout the record-to-report accounting process.
• Assist with external audits, providing documentation and resolving any issues raised by auditors.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by the Accounting Manager or senior management.

The Player

What you’ll bring

• A degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or related fields is mandatory.
• Experience in an accounting assistant or similar role (preferred).
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools (Microsoft Dynamics preferred).
