Accounting Manager
position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations across multiple entities. This role combines technical accounting expertise with operational leadership and requires a proactive professional who can manage complex accounting functions while supervising a small team. Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
- Manage accounting for multiple entities/divisions.
- Oversee month-end close, financial statement preparation, and general ledger integrity.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Handle 1099 processing, W-2 generation, and related filings.
- Perform data uploads, reconciliations, and large dataset manipulations.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
Leadership
- Supervise 1-2 direct reports, providing mentorship and accountability.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Technology & Tools
- QuickBooks Online, Yardi, and proprietary ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel proficiency: VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, data manipulations, data dumps, and uploads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Prior experience in real estate, property management, or construction accounting highly valued.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
- Desire to grow within the organization and take on additional responsibilities over time.

Location: Grand Junction, CO (Onsite)
Compensation: $80,000-$95,000, annually
