We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations across multiple entities. This role combines technical accounting expertise with operational leadership and requires a proactive professional who can manage complex accounting functions while supervising a small team. Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
Manage accounting for multiple entities/divisions.
Oversee month-end close, financial statement preparation, and general ledger integrity.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Handle 1099 processing, W-2 generation, and related filings.
Perform data uploads, reconciliations, and large dataset manipulations.
Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
Leadership
Supervise 1-2 direct reports, providing mentorship and accountability.
Foster a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Technology & Tools
QuickBooks Online, Yardi, and proprietary ERP systems.
Advanced Excel proficiency: VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, pivot tables, data manipulations, data dumps, and uploads.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred.
Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Prior experience in real estate, property management, or construction accounting highly valued.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
Desire to grow within the organization and take on additional responsibilities over time.
