Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Rochester, NY. Interested?

Here’s what you’d do:

• Under moderate supervision, performs daily accounting and financial functions, including the handling of operational funds.
• Interacts regularly with internal and external business partners to ensure financial information related to the insurance agency is accurate and quality control standards are met.
• Reviews, codes, and enters insurance carrier commission revenue and premium payment adjustments for clients and client employees into applicable systems and applications daily to ensure data feeds accurately to the general ledger and for review internally by finance and insurance operations personnel.
• Verifies the completeness and consistency of financial transactions to ensure that controls, regulatory requirements, and policies are being met.
• Researches and reconciles insurance revenue commission and premium payment adjustments in applicable systems and applications to ensure financial and quality standards are met.
• Provides first-level response to e-mail, mail, and phone inquiries from Finance, Insurance Operations, and Compliance, as well as external partners such as insurance carriers and general agents, to ensure quality service expectations are met.
• Maintains department procedures to ensure they remain current and accurate.
• Suggests changes to improve procedural efficiencies.
• Participates in projects or special assignments upon request.

Pay: $23.50/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Temp (7 months).

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the Accounting, finance, or insurance industry.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Basic-to-Moderate Microsoft Excel skills, including, but not limited to, the ability to format and look up data using formulas and functions.
• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Access or other relational database functions that can assist with research and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of HRIS.net.
