Accounts Payable Clerk in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Houston, Texas. This role primarily involves handling accounting duties in a meticulous and efficient manner. The industry focus is on accounts payable and the workplace is a dynamic office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintaining precise customer credit records, ensuring all details are up-to-date

• Resolving customer inquiries with a high level of professionalism and patience

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data entry tasks and report generation

• Applying your understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles in daily tasks

• Using the Sage 300 accounting software for various accounting tasks

• Handling confidential information with the utmost integrity and responsibility

• Coding invoices accurately and efficiently

• Processing invoices in a timely and organized manner. Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Demonstrated experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong Data Entry skills with high level of accuracy

• Proficient in Invoice Processing

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Sage 300 accounting software

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently

• Willingness to adapt to new changes and learn new skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
