Accounts Payable Specialist in Columbus, Ohio

Description We are in the search for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Real Estate & Property team. The role is based in COLUMBUS, Ohio, and offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your main role will be to maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, and handle customer-related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the timely filing, scanning, and data entry of invoices.

• Utilize basic Excel skills and JD Edwards for various accounting tasks.

• Handle medical leave processing for a period of 4-6 weeks.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ADP – Financial Services for efficient workflow.

• Manage accounts payable functions using Concur and other ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning systems.

• Ensure accurate account coding and accrual accounting.

• Perform auditing of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Participate in regular onsite meetings and collaborations with the team.

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on the account status. Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accrual Accounting

• Familiarity with ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Knowledge of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Auditing and Automated Clearing House (ACH) procedures

• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred

• Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Must have a professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
