Communications:

Master’s degree in English or Literature technical writing, rhetoric composition (one or two courses in Journalism may be considered if they include an emphasis in writing.)

Reading (College Prep) A&S COM REA:

Baccalaureate degree in reading, reading education, English or English education with at least 9 credit hours in reading coursework and either teaching experience in reading or graduate training in remedial education/reading endorsement, language arts, or a related education degree for developmental education reading courses.

Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in reading, reading education preferred for developmental education courses and required for college-level.”

* Education must be received from a regionally accredited institution.

Two years of teaching experience is preferred.

Commitment to the college objective of providing instruction for a diverse student population. Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and writing skills. Knowledge of learning and assessment theories and methods and the relationship to the pedagogy of teaching. Possess a high level of technical skills and subject matter knowledge as it relates to a specific discipline. Evidence of initiative, resourcefulness and adaptability.
